Sir Alex Ferguson urges his side to get back to beating Liverpool at Anfield this weekend.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has called on his side to 'get back to beating Liverpool' at Anfield on a regular basis.

The Scot, whose side haven't won on the road at Liverpool in over four seasons, were unbeaten in five Premier League visits – dating back to 2003 – prior to that. However, the club did lose one FA Cup tie to the Reds during that time.

"Results at Liverpool in the last two or three years have not been great for us," he said. "We haven't done as well as we used to do.

"But that changes. There was period when Liverpool beat us three or four times in a row six or seven years ago, but then we had a spell winning four or five in a row.

"That is how it see-saws with such a great rivalry between two great clubs. It will always be that way. Both clubs will always have their moments. We want to get back to the time when we were beating them regularly."

Meanwhile, Manchester United currently have a 16-point lead over Liverpool in the Premier League.
