Incoming Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag is expected to be in the stands to watch the Red Devils take on Crystal Palace in their final match of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign on Sunday.
The 20-time English champions are currently battling West Ham United for sixth spot in the table, and a lack of Champions League football for next season will harm the club's summer transfer budget.
Nevertheless, Ten Hag is expected to have a healthy amount of funds to improve the squad this summer, with a number of players linked with switches to the club since the Dutchman's arrival was confirmed.
The 52-year-old will take a break before the start of pre-season, but he has thrown himself straight into the role at Man United despite only finishing the Eredivisie campaign with Ajax last weekend.
Man United's squad will look a lot different in the coming months, as a number of players prepare to leave, while there will also be new signings at Old Trafford.
With that in mind, Sports Mole looks at how the team could line up next season under the management of their new head coach.
Despite the team's struggles this season, Ten Hag will certainly believe that he can improve the fortunes of a number of existing players at the club, and there will simply not be the budget to bring in seven or eight new players this summer.
David de Gea, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Fred, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho could all be a part of Ten Hag's regular first XI next season.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is set to remain at Old Trafford, and the incoming manager will surely look to utilise the Portugal international, who has scored 18 Premier League goals during the 2021-22 campaign.
A new striker will arrive, though, which could see Ronaldo moved out to the left; Benfica's Darwin Nunez continues to be linked with a switch to the Red Devils, with a strong campaign seeing the Uruguay international score 34 times in 41 appearances in all competitions.
Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong is also being heavily linked with a move to the club, but it remains to be seen whether Man United can agree a price with the Catalan outfit, as the English giants are allegedly not prepared to break the bank to sign the Netherlands international.
A new midfielder will certainly arrive, though, and there could also be two new additions at the back; Ten Hag knows Lisandro Martinez and Jurrien Timber well from his time at Ajax and is allegedly keen to bring the pair with him to Manchester this summer.
Timber has largely played as a centre-back this season but can also operate as a right-back, and it would certainly not be a surprise to see Ten Hag raid his former club this summer.
