Manchester United have been drawn against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup semi-finals, while Southampton will take on Newcastle United.
The Red Devils booked their place in the last four courtesy of a 3-0 victory at home against League One outfit Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night.
Erik ten Hag's side will now prepare for a semi-final clash against a Forest side who beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-3 on penalties at the City Ground on Wednesday night following a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
Southampton, meanwhile, are through to the EFL Cup semi-finals for the first time in six years after securing a deserved 2-0 victory against perennial EFL Cup winners Manchester City at St Mary's on Wednesday.
Another current top-four Premier League side awaits the Saints in the next round in the form of Newcastle United, who beat Leicester City 2-0 at St James' Park on Tuesday.
Man United will travel to the City Ground to face Forest in the first leg of their last four-tie, before the Red Devils play host at Old Trafford in the second leg, while the first leg between Southampton and Newcastle will take place at St Mary's before the Magpies welcome the Saints to the North East for the reverse fixture.
First-leg ties are scheduled to take place on January 24 and 25, with the second legs to be played on January 31 and February 1.
