Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford scores on England Under-21s debut

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford scores on his England Under-21 debut after being left out of the senior squad.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford scored on his England Under-21s debut during a European qualifier against Norway on Tuesday evening.

The 18-year-old enjoys impressing on his first time out, having scored on his United debut, Premier League debut and on his first appearance for the England senior side.

Rashford was named in Roy Hodgson's Euro 2016 squad in the summer, but new manager Sam Allardyce opted against including him in last weekend's World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.

The teenager has given Allardyce something to think about tonight, though, as he scored in the 29th minute of the Young Lions' qualifier.

Rashford picked up the ball after it was deflected off a Norway shirt, and charged 50 yards before slotting it into the bottom right corner.

Allardyce was watching the match from the stands.
