Nike have announced that they have ended their partnership with Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood following the rape allegation placed against him.
The 20-year-old is currently released on bail by Greater Manchester Police, having been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
Nike had originally announced that they were suspending their relationship with the footballer when the allegations were first revealed, but the sporting company has now gone one step further.
"Mason Greenwood is no longer a Nike athlete," the statement revealed.
The striker last played on January 19 during Manchester United's 1-0 victory against West Ham United, with the Red Devils having announced he will not be training or participating in any games until further notice.
Greenwood was initially arrested on 30 January after social media images and videos were released with allegations against him.
