Harry Redknapp: 'Loic Remy, Bobby Zamora are key'

Harry Redknapp insists that getting Bobby Zamora and Loic Remy on the pitch together will give QPR a chance of avoiding relegation.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has insisted that forwards Bobby Zamora and Loic Remy will be key if the club are to avoid relegation this season.

QPR lost 2-0 to Manchester United this afternoon and are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League.

Zamora was making his first start since October in the match and was replaced by Remy, who has been out for a month, in the second half. Redknapp thinks getting the two on the pitch at the same time will give QPR a chance of survival.

"If we can get Bobby on the pitch, and get Remy playing with him as a pair, it will give us something we've really lacked," Redknapp told Sky Sports News.

"There's no one better in the country [than Zamora] at bringing people in to play. We need to play quality balls up to him and get people to join him.

"We're short of goals. 19 goals all year is not going to keep you in the division. I think a lot depends on if I can get Bobby fit and playing. Remy gives us something to hang on to and we've got to try score some goals."

QPR's next game is against Southampton next weekend.
