Marko Arnautovic's agent has claimed that the Bologna forward rejected Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The former West Ham United attacker was linked with a surprise switch to Old Trafford during the recent window, before the club reportedly pulled the plug on the potential deal and instead signed Antony from Ajax.
However, the Austrian's representative Tiziano Pasquali has recalled a different version of events.
The agent claimed that Erik Ten Hag's side and Juventus were interested in Arnautovic and that it was the player who decided to remain at the Rossoblu.
"From the English, we had received a written proposal, and the negotiations had continued even after some contrary opinions from their fans but in the end, it was Marko who chose not to drag it out too long and to stay at Bologna," Pasquali told Gianluca di Marzio.
Arnautovic has scored six goals in nine games so far this season.
