Manchester United attacker Daniel James has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Atalanta BC.
The 23-year-old has been a regular since arriving at Old Trafford from Swansea City in 2019, making 72 appearances over the last two seasons.
The Wales international only featured on 15 occasions in the Premier League last term, though, and the arrival of Jadon Sancho has seemingly pushed the attacker further down the pecking order.
Leeds United and Southampton are among the clubs to have already been credited with an interest in James during this summer's transfer window.
However, according to Tuttomercatoweb, Atalanta are also admirers of the Welshman and could launch a bid for his services before the deadline passes.
James, who featured on four occasions for his country at this summer's European Championship, still has three years left to run on his contract with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
The attacker has scored six times and contributed seven assists in 48 Premier League appearances, meanwhile, since making the step up from the second tier.
