Inter Milan are reportedly lining up a January move for Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic.
The 31-year-old has only made five appearances for the Red Devils during the 2019-20 campaign having slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Matic's last appearance for United came at the start of October against AZ, although he has been on the sidelines in recent weeks with an unspecified issue.
The Serbia international will see his current deal in Manchester expire at the end of the campaign, but United do have the option of activating an additional 12 months in order to potentially protect his value.
According to Tuttosport, Inter are keen to sign Matic over Barcelona's Arturo Vidal during the January transfer window, and the Italian side are currently weighing up an approach.
The report claims that Antonio Conte's side could look to sign the midfielder on loan with the option of a permanent deal next summer, should United activate the further 12 months on his contract.
The Serbian reportedly left training with his English club after just 24 minutes on Wednesday amid doubts surrounding his future.
