Real Madrid reportedly have 'concrete' interest in signing Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz this summer.
The 25-year-old has been a standout performer for the Serie A title challengers this season, scoring six goals and registering four assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
According to Calciomercato, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti – who coached Ruiz at Napoli during his time in Italy – is keen to reunite with the Spain international at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The report adds that Ruiz is considering a return to Spain in the near future and has turned down the opportunity to extend his contract, which is set to expire in June 2023.
Real Madrid may face stern competition from other top clubs across Europe, as Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United have all been credited with an interest in the midfielder.
One report has suggested that Los Blancos would be Ruiz's preferred destination if he were to leave Napoli this summer.
Since joining from Real Betis in 2018, Ruiz has made 159 appearances for Napoli across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and winning the 2019-20 Coppa Italia.
