Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly happy for midfielder Jesse Lingard to leave Manchester United on loan in January.
Lingard has been restricted to just three appearances in all competitions this season, each of which have come in either the EFL Cup or FA Cup.
While United recently triggered a 12-month option in the England international's contract, that decision was made to avoid losing the playmaker on a free transfer in the summer.
However, according to ESPN, Solskjaer has given the green light for the 28-year-old to go out on loan for the second half of the campaign.
The report claims that club officials will now consider the value of allowing Lingard to spend time at another club until the summer.
Solskjaer had initially been keen to keep Lingard as part of his squad before holding discussions with the player in recent days.
