Sunday's Serie A predictions including Monza vs. Atalanta BC

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Monza vs. Atalanta BC.

Sassuolo vs. Lecce (Sunday, 11.30am)

Sassuolo remain in relegation danger heading into gameweek 33 when they welcome Lecce to the Mapei Stadium in Sunday's Serie A action.

The Neroverdi have drawn three straight games, but this has not sufficed for the second-bottom club seeking maximum points to leave the relegation zone, and they hope for a first victory in five against a team that created separation from the struggling sides after last weekend's win against Empoli.

We say: Sassuolo 1-0 Lecce

Apart from the 3-0 loss to Milan on April 6, Lecce's games since Gotti took charge have been tightly-contested encounters, with one goal scored in wins over Salernitana and Empoli, while Lupi held Roma to a goalless match.

However, Lecce have never won at the Mapei, losing three and drawing twice in five visits to Reggio Emilia; Sassuolo should extend that run to six by eking out a marginal win on Sunday.

Torino vs. Frosinone (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Still in contention for European football next season, Torino are in need of maximum points at home to lowly Frosinone on Sunday afternoon.

While Toro trail their main rivals for a top-seven finish, the visitors are the only Serie A side yet to win away from home this season, which leaves them just inside the relegation zone.

We say: Torino 1-0 Frosinone

Torino barely give visitors a sniff of goal on home soil, while Frosinone cannot buy a win when on the road, so a low-scoring win for the Granata is surely on the cards. Although their suspended manager must watch on from the stands, Toro can eke out three more points and stay on track for a top-half finish.

Salernitana vs. Fiorentina (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Cup specialists Fiorentina return to Serie A duty on Sunday evening, when victory for the Viola at Stadio Arechi could see Salernitana's relegation confirmed.

Despite enjoying deep runs in knockout competitions, the visitors seem set for a mid-table finish in the Italian top flight; meanwhile, their hosts are surely on borrowed time, sitting some 13 points adrift of safety.

We say: Salernitana 1-1 Fiorentina

No Serie A side has scored fewer away goals than Fiorentina in 2024, and only one has earned fewer points on the road. While Salernitana are so often shoddy at the back, the Viola may not be best placed to capitalise - particularly with one eye on an upcoming cup semi-final.

Monza vs. Atalanta (Sunday, 7.45pm)

After completing the job in Europe, Atalanta BC must go again in Serie A, as they continue their quest for a top-six finish in Sunday's clash with mid-table Monza.

While La Dea bravely slayed Liverpool over two legs in the Europa League quarter-finals, recent results have left them unsure of a place in continental competition next season.

We say: Monza 2-2 Atalanta BC

Every game carries significance for Atalanta right now - and they are coming around every few days - so a more rested and relaxed Monza side may be able to take advantage. As Sunday's visitors do not tend to travel well, a score draw could be the final outcome.
