Norwich City boss Neil Adams has described new signing Carlos Cuellar as a "top-quality" addition to his squad.
The defender penned a one-year deal with the Canaries on Wednesday after being released by Sunderland.
Adams expects the 32-year-old to add plenty of experience to his team for the remainder of their Championship campaign.
"Carlos brings bags of experience as he's played at the highest level in three countries. He can play as a centre-back and a right-back, and we've brought him here to strengthen the options we have in defence," he told the club's official website.
"He's a top-quality player, so we welcome him into the squad and it will be great to have him available."
Norwich return to Championship action on Saturday when they travel to local rivals Ipswich Town.
