Guy Whittingham praises Ryan Bird

Guy Whittingham says that he is "delighted" to see Ryan Bird score his first goals at Fratton Park.

Portsmouth manager Guy Whittingham has praised Ryan Bird after the striker scored twice in the 3-2 win against Exeter City.

Bird now has three goals in two matches following a slow start to his Pompey career.

"It's great for Ryan to score his first goals at Fratton Park and I was delighted for him with that second one," Whittingham told the Portsmouth News.

"We knew he had goals in him and his enthusiasm on the pitch is undoubted."

Pompey are unbeaten in six matches.
