Queens Park Rangers owner Tony Fernandes describes the opening 16 matches of the season as a "disaster" for his club.

Tony Fernandes has conceded that the Premier League season so far has been a "disaster" for Queens Park Rangers.

The R's are bottom of the table and are without a win from 16 attempts. That run of form resulted in Fernandes sacking Mark Hughes and replacing the Welshman with Harry Redknapp, who has now been in charge for three matches.

Reflecting on the past four months, owner Fernandes told supporters that everybody connected with the club is working hard to reverse their current fortunes.

"Holiday today in Malaysia. Went early xmas shopping. But all I want is 3 points. Hehehehe," he wrote on Twitter.

"It's been nothing short of a disaster. It's not where we are. But boy we put so much effort into this. Good honest effort. Will keep my normal transparent self and come say hello to as many Rangers fans on Saturday.

"Keep your spirits up. Laughing smiling and being positive helps. Won't leave any stone unturned to try fix this, tough as it is. Hopefully santa gives us some early presents."

Next up for QPR is a London derby against Fulham at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon.
