Luis Enrique: 'Real Madrid deserved to win'

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique admits that Real Madrid deserved to win last night's El Clasico.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has conceded that his side deserved to lose against Real Madrid in last night's El Clasico in Madrid.

Barca took the lead early on through Neymar, but goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Karim Benzema secured all the points for the capital outfit.

"The defeat makes it clear that they are as good as us or, as today, better," Enrique told Terra Deportes.

"There wasn't much difference between us. We started well in the first half but once we scored we suffered.

"We could have made it 2-0 but it was a half of give and take. The second asked more of us and we were punished. The opponent was better and the opponent deservedly beat us."

Barcelona are still top of the La Liga table, but now just by one point.
