Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Huesca

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's La Liga clash with Huesca.

Real Madrid will be looking to build on last weekend's Clasico win over Barcelona when they continue their 2020-21 La Liga campaign at home to Huesca on Saturday afternoon.

Los Blancos picked up a 3-1 victory at Camp Nou last Saturday to move onto 13 points in the table, which is enough for second spot at this stage of the season.

Zinedine Zidane's side were also in Champions League action on Tuesday night, coming from two goals behind to pick up a point in a 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Huesca, who are currently 18th in Spain's top flight after a tough start to the season.

Mariano Diaz

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Mouth
Possible return date: October 31 (vs. Huesca)

Madrid could again be without the services of Mariano Diaz for this match as the forward recently underwent surgery for tonsillitis, which saw him lose eight kilograms in weight during the recovery progress. Diaz has now returned to training but is still working his way back to full fitness.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Dani Carvajal is expected to spend the next four weeks on the sidelines recovering from a knee injury, with the Spaniard damaging his medial collateral ligament during a training session. As a result, the right-back is unlikely to make his first-team return until the early stages of December.

Alvaro Odriozola

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: October 31 (vs. Huesca)

Alvaro Odriozola has missed Madrid's last five matches with a calf injury that he picked up during a training session earlier this month. The issue is not thought to be serious, but he missed out on a spot in the squad against Gladbach and remains a doubt for this weekend's contest.

Martin Odegaard

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Madrid will again be without the services of Martin Odegaard this weekend due to a calf injury, and it is currently unclear when the Norway international might be available for selection once again.

Nacho

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: October 31 (vs. Huesca)

Nacho had to be replaced in the latter stages of the first half against Barca last weekend after picking up a thigh problem, and the versatile defender did not travel to Germany for the clash with Gladbach. As a result, the Spaniard remains a doubt for Saturday afternoon's contest.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Madrid do not have any suspension issues for the league match.
