Report: Real Madrid eye Bernd Leno

Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno is reportedly a summer transfer target of European champions Real Madrid.

A report in Spain has claimed that Real Madrid have identified Bernd Leno as the potential answer to their goalkeeping problems.

Recent speculation has suggested that Los Blancos are in the market to replace captain and current number one Iker Casillas, who has had his form of late roundly criticised.

Manchester United's David de Gea has been strongly linked with a switch to the Bernabeu, as have Chelsea custodian Petr Cech and Argentine youngster Augusto Batalla.

However, according to Marca, Madrid officials have been impressed by Bayer Leverkusen stopper Leno and a summer bid is in the offing.

The 23-year-old is yet to represent Germany at senior international level, although he has represented the country's Under-21 side on 14 occasions.
