Preview: Real Sociedad vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole gazes ahead to the Champions League Group A match on Tuesday night between Real Sociedad and Manchester United.

Manchester United can edge closer to qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League if they inflict a fourth straight defeat on Real Sociedad in the competition.

David Moyes's side were only able to squeeze past the Spanish outfit thanks to a second-minute Inigo Martinez own goal at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture two weeks ago.

Robin van Persie sat out that contest but he should return on Tuesday as United look to ensure that they are not overtaken at the top of Group A by Bayer Leverkusen.

Sociedad have accrued seven out of nine points from their three La Liga matches since losing to United and enter the match on a high after Saturday's 5-0 thumping of Osasuna.
