Half-Time Report: Roma frustrated by Atalanta BC

Francesco Totti and German Denis both score from the spot as Roma and Atalanta head into the break level in their Serie A clash at the Stadio Olimpico.

Atalanta BC have come from behind to hold Roma at 1-1 at the halfway stage of their Serie A meeting this afternoon.

The match was just two minutes old when Roma were awarded a penalty for Guglielmo Stendardo's handball inside the box, and Francesco Totti made no mistake in converting the resulting spot kick.

However, Atalanta were given a penalty of their own when Davide Astori brought down Urby Emanuelson, and German Denis kept his composure to slide in the set piece.

Roma looked for a quick response and Totti was inches away from connecting with Radja Nainggolan's dangerous cross.

Alessandro Florenzi was next to threaten when his near-post attempt was beaten away by Marco Sportiello.

The Giallorossi continued to press, but were unable to find a second goal as the teams headed into the dressing rooms on level terms.
