Sevilla 5-2 Rayo Vallecano

Two goals from Papa Babacar Diawara help Sevilla to a 5-2 win over Rayo Vallecano.

Sevilla remain on course for a top-ten finish with a 5-2 win over Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

The home side went ahead after the half-hour mark through Papa Babacar Diawara but were pegged back seven minutes later when Federico Fazio upended Michu in the box.

Diego Da Silva Costa stepped up to dispatch the spot kick and restore parity.

Cala restores Sevilla's advantage six minutes later to give them a 2-1 half-time lead.

Diawara grabbed his second of the game just after the break before Jose Antonio Reyes put the game beyond doubt in the 65th minute.

Da Silva Costa gave Rayo a glimmer of hope after 77 minutes before Fredric Kanoute's 81st-minute strike completed the scoring.
