Mauricio Pochettino to remain at Southampton?

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly decides to remain at St Mary's for another season, despite being favourite for the vacant Tottenham Hotspur job.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly turned down the opportunity to become the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

Pochettino had been considered the favourite to replace Tim Sherwood at White Hart Lane, but it now looks increasingly likely that the Argentine will remain at St Mary's Stadium.

According to The Metro, the former Espanyol coach has decided to sign a new deal with the Saints, leaving Spurs to look elsewhere for a new manager.

Ajax chief Frank de Boer and Napoli boss Rafael Benitez have also been linked with a move to North London.
