Basel coach Murat Yakin has denied that he has spoken to Tottenham Hotspur about succeeding Andre Villas-Boas as head coach.
Reports emerged claiming that the 39-year-old's agent flew to London this week to hold talks with the North London outfit following the dismissal of Villas-Boas on Monday.
Despite Yakin, who has also been linked to Lazio, being considered as one of the contenders for the position, the coach told Blick: "I am enjoying my holidays. I have had no contact with Lazio or Tottenham."
Tim Sherwood has been given the interim role at White Hart Lane and will take charge of the first team for tonight's League Cup clash against West Ham United.
