Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly told Tottenham Hotspur that he would be open to a return as manager of the club should Antonio Conte leave at the end of the season.
The Argentine was in charge for five years in North London and he has been out of work since parting ways with Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
After a disappointing exit in Europe to AC Milan in midweek, Spurs and Conte appear likely to go their separate ways, meaning Pochettino could return to the club he led to a Champions League final in 2019.
Supporters and players alike are rumoured to be losing faith with Conte, after Richarlison came out publicly to criticise the Italian this week, and with his contract up in the summer, Conte is now expected to leave.
talkSPORT claim that Pochettino has had contact with other clubs over becoming manager though, so Spurs may need to act fast if they are to make him their next boss.
Pochettino is known to have had a good relationship with Harry Kane during his first stint at the club, and Spurs are reportedly hopeful that a return could help convince their talisman to stay at the club.
