Former England defender Danny Mills has said that West Ham United should look to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama in January transfer window.
The 28-year-old has only made four appearances for Spurs during the 2019-20 campaign and has not been included in a Premier League squad since the end of September.
West Ham were linked with a move for the Kenya international during the summer, and Mills has insisted that the midfielder would be a positive signing for the Hammers.
"Yeah definitely (West Ham would be a good fit). Wanyama can still do a decent job, he just doesn't fit Tottenham right now and that's all it comes down to," Mills told Football Insider. "Without a doubt, he's still got quality, just because Mourinho doesn't fancy him, it doesn't mean someone else won't."
Wanyama played the final nine minutes of Tottenham's 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on December 11 despite not yet been involved in the league under Jose Mourinho.
The midfielder will see his current deal with Spurs expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
