Danny Lennon pleased with St Mirren showing

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon praises his side's hunger in their win at Hibernian.

St Mirren boss Danny Lennon believes that his side's commitment in the first half of their win over Hibernian on Saturday was a crucial factor.

An own goal from Ben Williams got the Saints into an early lead before two goals in as many minutes from Adam Campbell and Steven Thompson put the visitors three up at half time.

The Paisley club conceded twice in the second half but held on for the points and Lennon feels it was a deserved victory.

Sporting Life quotes him as saying: "I was delighted with what we brought to the game in the first half - the hunger and desire.

"I thought to a man we were at it in the first half and in the second half we pulled those sleeves up. I'm delighted our young pups handled that experience well."

St Mirren are currently eighth in the Scottish Premiership.
