Xherdan Shaqiri's Stoke City future has again been cast in doubt after his agent admitted that a move to Roma should not be ruled out.
The Switzerland international is said to be a long-term target for the Serie A side, who are looking to bring the winger on board when the transfer window reopens.
Despite his largely underwhelming career at the bet365 Stadium, which includes four goals in 30 Premier League appearances so far, Shaqiri is still being touted for a switch to the Italian capital.
In the wake of recent rumours that suggested a move could be on the cards as early as January, Shaqiri's agent and brother Erdin told Corriere dello Sport: "I can't say much. The only thing that's certain is that Xherdan is focused on Stoke City.
"January is a long way off, there will be time to evaluate the various options. But Roma? Never say never..."
Shaqiri, who turned 24 yesterday, has featured in Stoke's last two outings - draws with West Bromwich Albion and Manchester United - after missing the previous six games through injury.
