Defender Alfie Mawson says that Swansea City's slump in form is down to the players, not under-fire manager Bob Bradley.

Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson has called on the team to "man up and go again" after their 4-1 defeat to West Ham United on Boxing Day.

Pressure is building on manager Bob Bradley after he suffered his seventh setback in 11 outings since being appointed by the Welsh club, but Mawson has praised the American for his work-rate and effort since arriving at the Liberty Stadium.

The 22-year-old is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "The manager has great attention to detail, on the finer details of the game but it does not show because we are making mistakes and not executing well enough. That is down to us.

"He is so upbeat on the training ground, he is very positive with us and has worked hard to keep morale up. It is hard because we are the ones who put ourselves in this situation, he came in at a bad time.

"We are all behind him but we have to get through it together. We are men and we have to man up and go again."

Swansea currently sit four points adrift of safety in the Premier League table.
