West Bromwich Albion captain Chris Brunt has expressed his 'disappointment' in his side's defeat to Liverpool, but is encouraged by the team's "half-decent" performance.
The Baggies managed to draw level at Anfield on Saturday through Saido Berahino's penalty, but eventually succumbed to a 2-1 defeat after Jordan Henderson scored the winner for the Reds.
West Brom will not be able to respond to their loss on the pitch until after the international break when they take on Manchester United at The Hawthorns on October 20.
"There are going to be good weeks and bad weeks for us this season," Brunt told the club's official website. "It is disappointing that we are going into the international break on the back of a defeat, but we are going into it on the back of half-decent performance as well."
Brunt will now join up with the Northern Ireland team for their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers.
