Luke Daniels has committed his future to West Bromwich Albion by signing a new contract until June 2015.
The 25-year-old, who joined West Brom as a trainee from Manchester United in 2004, has yet to make an appearance for the Baggies this season.
However, sporting and technical director Richard Garlick has insisted that the goalkeeper is an "important part" of the playing squad.
"I'm delighted Luke has agreed to sign a new deal," Garlick told the club's official website.
"He has shown great loyalty to the club since he joined our Academy as a youngster and has developed into a very promising goalkeeper.
"He is an important part of what has become a strong goalkeeper department at the club and he continues to progress well under the guidance of Dean Kiely."
Daniels has had a total of seven loan spells away from the club.
