Half-Time Report: Bright Enobakhare gives Wolverhampton Wanderers half-time lead

Wolverhampton Wanderers hold a 1-0 half-time lead over visitors Barnet in the League Cup following an early goal from frontman Bright Enobakhare.

Bright Enobakhare's early finish has handed Wolverhampton Wanderers a 1-0 advantage over Barnet at half time in the League Cup this evening.

Wolves flew out of the traps and they found themselves ahead after just three minutes thanks to frontman Enobakhare, who converted from close range after being picked out by Adam le Fondre.

The hosts continued to attack after the opener and Sylvain Deslandes almost made it 2-0 to the favourites, only to see his long-range effort creep past the wrong side of the post.

The growing dominance of Kenny Jackett's side almost paid off further after 20 minutes, with Sheyi Ojo twice coming close to extending his side's lead before blazing over the crossbar.

With Barnet failing to register much in the way of chances, Wolves wasted another down at the other end just before the break when Matt Doherty saw his shot fly over from range.
