Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing Real Betis midfielder William Carvalho during this summer's transfer window.
The Portugal international was linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs before joining Betis from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2018.
The 28-year-old has missed a chunk of the 2019-20 campaign with a muscular problem but has returned to fitness in recent weeks, featuring in two of his side's last three La Liga matches.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Wolves, who already have a number of Portuguese players in their ranks, are weighing up a move for the midfielder ahead of the 2020-21 season.
Carvalho has been capped on 59 occasions by his national team, while he has featured 54 times for Betis since arriving in Spanish football.
Wolves are battling for a spot in next season's Champions League, currently occupying sixth spot in the Premier League table, just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, while they could also qualify by winning the Europa League.
