The Rugby Football Union have reportedly lined up Australia head coach Michael Cheika to replace Stuart Lancaster as England head coach.
Lancaster's future has been questioned after England failed to progress from their pool at the Rugby World Cup on home soil, becoming the first host nation not to progress since the competition began.
Cheika's Wallabies, who were one of the sides that denied England a quarter-final place, went on to reach the final, where they lost 34-17 to New Zealand at Twickenham.
According to The Australian, RFU president and former England prop Jason Leonard has identified Cheika as the man to lead England through to the 2019 World Cup in Japan.
The 48-year-old, who coached Leinster to Heineken Cup success in 2009, is contracted to the Australian Rugby Union until 2017.
Cheika was appointed Australia coach in October 2014.
