England's Tonia Couch eyeing improvement in 10m platform final

Team England diver Tonia Couch is eyeing an improvement on her dive in the premliminary session of the women's 10m platform when she competes in the final later today.

Team England diver Tonia Couch has admitted that she is determined to improve on her performance in qualifying when she competes in the final of the women's 10m platform.

The 25-year-old finished in third place during the preliminaries with a score of 337.0, just behind Canada's Roseline Filion and Malaysia's Pandelela Rinong Pamg.

She told reporters: "I really enjoyed it. I dived good, but not my best. Everyone else wasn't at their best, but it's a preliminary so it doesn't really matter.

"We've got the final tonight and I'm just going to enjoy it again really."

Couch won the silver medal in the women's synchronised 10m platform on Wednesday.
