Team England have announced that five members have been forced to withdraw from the Glasgow Commonwealth Games this week due to injuries.
The diving team, which will be led by Tom Daley, has been knocked down to 14 competitors after Matthew Lee and Daniel Goodfellow dropped out with injuries.
The pair will not be replaced, but Ollie Willars has come into the fold for the hockey team after Tim Whiteman pulled out of the event as he requires further surgery on a thumb injury.
On Wednesday, judoka Ben Fletcher picked up a knee injury in training, but his replacement is yet to be named, while cyclist John Dibben has withdrawn from the track and road events due to a fractured elbow.
Team England chef de mission Jan Paterson said: "It is very disappointing that each of these talented athletes won't be able to join us in Glasgow, and they will be sorely missed by the entire England team. We wish them all the best with their recovery."
The Games will get underway officially with the opening ceremony next Wednesday.
