Tom Daley has won bronze for Team GB in the men's 10m platform following an impressive performance at the Aquatics Centre.

The 18-year-old was outstanding all evening, never scoring below 86.40 on any of his dives to come away with a final tally of 556.95.

Daley was drawn into a three-way competition for gold in the final round with David Boudia of the United States and China's Qiu Bo.

It was Boudia who dug deepest, dazzling the judges with a back 2 1/2 somersault 2 twists in the final round to come away with a final score of 568.65 and the gold medal.

World champion Qiu had to settle for silver with his score of 566.85, while his compatriot Lin Yue went home empty-handed after faltering on his forward 4 1/2 somersault in round four.
