Pro Patia president Pietro Vavassori says that he is "speechless" following today's racist chanting directed towards AC Milan's black players.

Pro Patria president Pietro Vavassori has said that he understands the decision of AC Milan players to leave the field during this afternoon's friendly match.

The Rossoneri players were upset at racial chanting directed at their black players, which forced Kevin-Prince Boateng to lead a mass walk-off.

Vavassori said that he was "speechless" following the incident, but denied any association with the fans spouting the abuse.

"The people who made the racist chants have been isolated," Vavassori told Sky Sport Italia. "These people were not familiar to us at the stadium and they used this event to ruin a celebration of football.

"I am bitter about this and feel speechless. The club can't do anything when faced with these incidents.

"Milan's decision was understandable, as some of their players did not want to resume the game because they were upset by the incident."

Pro Patia play in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione, Italy's fourth tier.
