Leonardo: 'Ibrahimovic won't return to Milan'

Los Angeles Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be returning to AC Milan in January, according to sporting director Leonardo.

AC Milan sporting director Leonardo has claimed that it is 'not possible' for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to return to San Siro.

Ibrahimovic has enjoyed a successful first season with Los Angeles Galaxy, but the legendary Swede has been strongly linked with a short-term loan switch to Milan.

However, Leonardo has dismissed the speculation, suggesting that Ibrahimovic is still planning on spending a second year at the MLS club.

The Brazilian told Sky Italy: "Ibrahimovic? No he won't arrive. He always said that if LA accepted his demands, that he would stay there.

"He won't be arriving here. It would've been nice but it isn't possible."

Ibrahimovic scored 42 goals from 61 Serie A appearances between 2010 and 2012.
