AIK Fotboll will attempt to win just their second home game of the season when they welcome Hacken to the Friends Arena on Saturday.
The hosts are currently third-bottom in the Swedish Allsvenskan on 10 points, while the visitors will be seeking to close the gap to top spot with a victory here.
Match preview
AIK would not have expected to find themselves towards the bottom of the table having finished a respectable fifth last season.
Despite a crucial 2-0 victory against Brommapojkarna last time out, which ended a nine-game winless streak, Andreas Brannstrom has since departed the club and former Manchester United defender Henning Berg has stepped into the dugout.
A brace from Rui Modesto gave Gnaget a crucial three points which sees them pull away from Varbergs BoIS, who are currently rock-bottom of the Swedish Allsvenskan, in the standings,.
Before last weekend's victory, the 12-time champions, who most recently won the title in 2018 and hold the record for most seasons completed in the Swedish top flight, had not tasted victory since defeating Hammarby in mid-April, collecting just four points from their last nine games in the process.
AIK have picked up just six points from as many games in front of their fans this season – only two teams have a worse record than that.
Meanwhile, the visitors are currently in third place on 29 points, just five behind league leaders Malmo coming into this weekend.
Samuel Gustafson's second-half strike was enough to earn Per-Mathias Hogmo's side a point last time out against IFK Norrkoping, after Even Hovland had given the visitors the lead before strikes from Arnor Ingvi Traustason and Victor Stange Lind completed a turnaround for the hosts.
However, that stalemate extends Hacken's unbeaten streak to four games in the league, and they will be confident travelling to Stockholm that they can get a positive result. Hogmo's side have accumulated 11 points from seven games on their travels this season – only three have picked up more points on the road.
With the start of their Champions League qualification journey around the corner, Saturday's visitors will be looking to set the tone with an impressive display here.
Team News
Rui Modesto will retain his place in the starting XI for the hosts after his brace last weekend against Brommapojkarna, while Kristoffer Nordfeldt has played every minute so far in the Swedish Allsvenskan, so he looks set to start between the sticks.
John Guidetti may get the nod to start in attack once again despite struggling to make an impact against Brommapojkarna, but he remains the club's top scorer with five goals across all competitions.
As for the visitors, Blair Turgott and Ali Youssef are guaranteed absentees for Hacken here as they continue to battle with respective long-term injury problems.
Having scored seven in his last seven matches for the away side, 20-year-old Benie Traore will be looking to add to his tally here.
AIK Fotboll possible starting lineup:
Nordfeldt; Milosevic, Haliti, Papagiannopoulos; Modesto, Keita, Hussein, Magashy, Ouma; Guidetti, Faraj
Hacken possible starting lineup:
Abrahamsson; Lund, Hovland, Sandberg, Fridriksson; Rygaard, Romeo, Gustafson; Dahbo, Traore, Sonko
We say: AIK Fotboll 1-2 Hacken
Despite AIK's victory last week, they are on a terrible run of form, and Hacken have one of the better away records in the division.
In addition, Hacken boast the best attack in the league and will fancy themselves to put on another superb display in the final third.
