Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi has said that he hopes that Mesut Ozil can remain in Unai Emery's starting lineup.
Ozil has spent a period out of the team due to injury, illness and falling out of favour with Emery, but the German made a positive impact in the 3-0 win over BATE Borisov in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The playmaker may find himself among the replacements at the weekend, but Iwobi has acknowledged that he enjoys having the 30-year-old in the team.
Iwobi is quoted by the London Evening Standard as saying: "We know what Mesut is like because we see him in training every day. He's world class. We scored three goals as a result of him playing.
"I know if I make a run he has the vision to find me. Hopefully he can keep on playing."
Ozil has made just 15 starts and three substitute appearances in all competitions this season.
