Having taken inspiration from rivals Arsenal, defender Jose Enrique believes that Liverpool can still finish in the top four this season.

The Reds currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, 10 points behind Arsene Wenger's team, who occupy the final Champions League qualification place.

Three weeks ago, the Gunners trailed London rivals Tottenham Hotspur by the same margin but have since reduced the gap to just one point.

Enrique thinks that this is proof that, if Liverpool can finish the season in good form, they will be right back in contention for the coveted fourth-spot.

"We have not put together regular wins all season," said the 26-year-old Spaniard.

"But if you look at Arsenal at the start of the season they did not win too many games.

"Yet now they are one point behind Spurs. That's what we have to do."

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Pepe Reina has described this weekend's FA Cup tie with Stoke City as the most important game of the Reds' season.
