Olivier Giroud: 'Mesut Ozil makes everything easier'

Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud shares positive feelings about developing a quick understanding with Mesut Ozil.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has declared that Mesut Ozil will fit seamlessly into Arsene Wenger's side, after playing with the German international for the first time last weekend.

Ozil combined with Giroud just 11 minutes into his Arsenal debut after a £42.4m move from Real Madrid, laying on the French forward's fourth goal in as many Premier League games in a 3-1 win over Sunderland.

Giroud believes that Ozil has the ability to make difficult skills look simple in the final third, sharing positive feelings about striking up a strong relationship with his new teammate.

He told the club's official website: "Everything is easier with this player. He always plays in the right way, nothing else

"He has a fantastic, lovely first touch so it is really easy to find each other, especially for the third goal. We were really happy to win after a good first half.

"I feel really good on the pitch in my relationships, especially with our new player, Mesut. There are a lot of good feelings."

The 24-year-old is in contention to make his European bow for Arsenal tomorrow night, when the Gunners open their Champions League campaign against Marseille.
