Former teammates Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Frimpong will not face any punishment from the FA after last night's altercation.

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri and Arsenal's Emmanuel Frimpong will escape any punishment from the Football Association over an altercation after last night's Carling Cup quarter-final.

The former teammates are believed to have come to blows in the Emirates tunnel after City's 1-0 win over the Gunners last night.

The apparent incident was not reported to the FA and will therefore not be reviewed by the governing body.

Roberto Mancini's side claimed a place in the final four yesterday along with Liverpool and Cardiff City.
