Robert Pires: 'Petr Cech can help Arsenal win title'

Robert Pires believes that goalkeeper Petr Cech can help Arsenal win the Premier League title next season.

Former Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires believes that Petr Cech can help the Gunners land the Premier League title next season.

Arsene Wenger shelled out around £11m to land the goalkeeper from Chelsea last month, and ex-winger Pires thinks that the signing could prove definitive.

"This is a player who has won the title, so yes, he can help them win the title," Pires told Sky Sports News.

"Of course it will be very tough because you have Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea, but of course, they have a good chance.

"I hope [the signing] will work, because he can make a big difference. It is good news for Arsenal, the signing of Petr Cech."

Wenger recently revealed that the signing of Cech was a tough decision to make.
