Arsenal's Theo Walcott admits that he would be "rubbish" if not for his pace.

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has admitted that he would be "rubbish" without his pace.

Walcott, 22, is recognised as among the fastest players in the Premier League and insists that his speed is what makes him a threat.

"I'd be rubbish!" the England international said in an interview with Soccer AM, which airs later today (Saturday).

"It's about touch as well, but pace in the Premier League is massive. There's a lot of pacey players in the Premier League but I'd be right up there definitely. I'm fairly quick."

The former Southampton star also revealed how difficult Arsenal's 8-2 loss to Manchester United was to take.

"It hurt a lot," he continued. "Seeing the players go through that, no player wants to be part of that."

Arsenal will look to get their season back on track when Swansea travel to the Emirates this afternoon.
