Arsene Wenger gives credit to Nicklas Bendtner

Arsene Wenger says that Nicklas Bendtner is proving his worth to the Arsenal team following another goal in this afternoon's Premier League meeting with Cardiff City.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said that Nicklas Bendtner is working his way back into the team following his goal in this afternoon's 2-0 win over Cardiff City.

The Gunners left it late to beat the Bluebirds at the Emirates Stadium, with the Dane, who has spent the previous two seasons at Sunderland and Juventus, scoring the opening goal two minutes from time.

"Nicklas is a player who has gone through some difficult periods, so I just want to give him great credit," the Frenchman told reporters.

"I told him already today that he is back to the level I want him to be at, and if he continues to develop like that he will come back into the team."

The North London side top the Premier League table.
