The FA have contacted Arsenal and Newcastle United over an alleged incident of racial abuse directed at Cheick Tiote on Monday night.

Arsenal are trying to identify the accused supporter and have vowed to ban him if he is found guilty of the verbal attack.

Wembley bosses will liaise with both clubs before considering whether to open up their own investigation.

Arsenal won the game 2-1.
