Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino praises his side for a "fantastic" run of form that has seen them take seven points from nine against Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has praised his side for a "fantastic" run of form that has seen them go nine league games unbeaten in the race for a top-four finish.

Harry Kane was once again on the scoresheet for Spurs today as they claimed a 1-0 victory over North London rivals Arsenal at Wembley, a result that saw them leapfrog Liverpool and Chelsea into third place in the table.

Prior to today's victory, Spurs had managed a win over Manchester United and a draw at Liverpool, a run of three results against high-quality opposition that Pochettino believes is a demonstration of his side's potential.

"I think it is important for the belief of the team," he told reporters at Wembley. "You know very well that football is about trust, confidence and belief. I think a clean sheet against United, clean sheet against Arsenal and I think we deserved more against Liverpool but only took a draw.

"The performance of the team is fantastic, I'm so pleased because that was a key period where you need to fight for the top four and with these three points we are in the battle and arriving in the Champions League is a competition that excites the fans, excites us and you dream of playing in those games."

Speaking about Kane, he added: "He is the present and the future. It is amazing all that he is achieving, [I'm] so proud and happy he is in our side."

Next up for Spurs is a trip to Juventus on Tuesday night for the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.
