Arsenal are unlikely to move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin in January, according to a report.

Arsenal are not thought to be planning a move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the January transfer window.

The Gunners will see Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah's deals expire in the summer, and the club are also facing uncertain futures with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Folarin Balogun.

Aubameyang was dropped for the Southampton game due to a disciplinary breach - the second such instance in 2021 - and Mikel Arteta is expected to be in the market for a new striker in 2022.

Calvert-Lewin is thought to be on the Gunners' radar ahead of next year, but football.london claims that a winter move for the England international is unlikely to materialise.

The report adds that Everton's asking price and Calvert-Lewin's struggles for fitness make a January move unfeasible, with Arsenal expected to wait until the summer before eyeing attacking reinforcements.

Calvert-Lewin scored three goals in three Premier League games this season before entering the treatment room, and his deal at Goodison Park does not expire until 2025.
