Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that the club's move for Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny is yet to go through due to complications.
The Gunners have reportedly agreed a fee of around £5m to sign the defensive midfielder and are now finalising details to complete the move.
Wenger told reporters this morning that he expects the deal to go through in the next few days.
"It's complicated a little bit but we are working hard on it," said Wenger. "I hope in the next two to three days we get to the end of it."
Wenger also dismissed reports that he is trying to sign Watford's Troy Deeney and that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could switch London clubs and join Chelsea.
